CONTRABAND BOOKS accepts manuscripts during two reading periods: September 1-30 for publication in the spring, and March 1-31 for publication in the autumn. Unsolicited manuscripts will not be read outside of these times.
Submission Guidelines
You can submit your manuscript to submissions@contrabandbooks.co.uk. Please include:
- A brief (no more than 300-word) summary of your work
- Your name
- Email address
- Whether you have submitted the same manuscript to another publisher.
We are currently catching up on a backlog of submissions and endeavour to finalise our publishing selections within six weeks of the submission deadline. We accept poetry with a modernist and innovative lean and we encourage women to submit.
