Flat Earth explores the possibilities for expression in language that is irretrievably inert. The material for the first part, an experimental novel, comes from an online generator of terms not yet registered as a domain name, when combined with the keyword “Push”. This is presented either as an oncoming rush of words, or as lifeless blocks of text, an attempt to revivify dead language which can succeed only in flashes.

The second part is a collection of poems, peopled by personifications of class positions, among the ruins of utopian spaces, dominated by the world of things. These short pieces are made up of lines of prose, some taken or adapted from found sources, some more or less original. They most resemble poems when viewed at a distance.
